Please read these terms carefully before accessing GamerLobby, tracking games, authoring reviews, curating lists, or subscribing to patron tiers.
GamerLobby is an independent community video game tracking and cataloging platform. We do not sell video games directly. All game artwork, titles, logos, and trademarks belong to their respective copyright holders under fair use for commentary and cataloging. You own your reviews and lists, and agree to treat other players with mutual respect.
01. Acceptance of Terms & Eligibility
By accessing, browsing, registering an account on, or otherwise using GamerLobby ("the Platform", "we", "our", or "us"), you enter into a legally binding contract with GamerLobby. If you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"), you must immediately discontinue your use of the Platform.
You must be at least 13 years of age (or 16 years of age if residing in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom) to create an account or use GamerLobby. In compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 13.
02. Description of the Service
GamerLobby provides an interactive digital diary, cataloging, rating, and tracking platform for video game enthusiasts, enabling players to:
- Log gameplay status ("Played", "Playing", "Backlog / To Play", "Wishlist").
- Rate video games on a 5-star scale (supporting 0.5-star half-step increments).
- Author, publish, format, and share long-form game reviews and playthrough diaries.
- Curate custom ranked, thematic, or genre-based video game collections.
- Engage with other gamers via public social feeds, comments, and follower networks.
- Track digital storefront discounts, historical price trends, and availability across PC and console ecosystems.
- Optionally link public gaming gamertags and profiles (e.g., Steam, PlayStation Network, Xbox Network, Nintendo Switch).
03. User Accounts & Security
To access personalized features, you must register an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete registration credentials and to safeguard your login information. You are solely responsible for all activities occurring under your account credentials.
You agree to notify us immediately via gamerlobby00@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access or security breaches. GamerLobby cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to safeguard your account security.
04. User-Generated Content & License
You retain all copyright and proprietary rights in any text, written reviews, list descriptions, comments, or custom user media you submit to the Platform ("User-Generated Content" or "UGC").
By submitting UGC on GamerLobby, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, transferable license to host, store, cache, format, index, display, and distribute your content across GamerLobby's web and mobile interfaces.
Community Spoiler Tagging Rule
To preserve game enjoyment for the community, you must toggle the "Contains spoilers" flag whenever your review or comment discloses narrative plot twists, climax events, or endings. Failure to tag spoilers may result in automated spoiler masking or moderation action.
05. Intellectual Property & Non-Affiliation Disclaimer
GamerLobby is an independent, community-driven platform created by and for gamers. GamerLobby is NOT affiliated, associated, authorized, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with Valve Corporation, Sony Interactive Entertainment Inc., Microsoft Corporation, Nintendo Co., Ltd., Twitch Interactive / Amazon, or any video game developer, studio, or publisher.
All video game titles, box cover artwork, character likenesses, trailers, screenshots, logos, and registered trademarks displayed on GamerLobby remain the intellectual property of their respective copyright and trademark owners.
Their inclusion on GamerLobby constitutes Fair Use under United States copyright law (17 U.S.C. § 107) and international equivalents for transformative purposes of cataloging, identification, player commentary, criticism, and non-commercial educational discourse.
06. Live Store Deals & Third-Party APIs
GamerLobby aggregates game metadata and live pricing information utilizing publicly accessible APIs and storefront feeds, including the Steam Storefront API, Twitch/IGDB, and retail feeds.
- No Merchant Status: GamerLobby is not a digital storefront or retail merchant. We do not sell game licenses, activation keys, or digital downloads. Transactions occur on third-party authorized merchants (e.g., Steam, PlayStation Store, Nintendo eShop, or Xbox Store).
- Price Accuracy Disclaimer: Prices, regional currency exchange rates, and discount periods change dynamically. While we strive for timely accuracy, GamerLobby cannot guarantee that listed prices match merchant checkout prices at all times.
- Affiliate Transparency: Certain outbound merchant links may contain affiliate tracking parameters. If you complete a transaction, GamerLobby may earn a referral commission at zero additional cost to you.
07. Subscriptions, Auto-Renewal & Cancellation Rights
GamerLobby offers optional paid membership tiers ("Lobby Patron", "Lobby Legend", and "Founder Lifetime Pass") designed to support platform development and unlock enhanced profile features.
Recurring monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically at the prevailing tier rate at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled prior to the renewal date. You can cancel your subscription at any time online through your Account Settings (/settings) with a single click, without phone calls or cumbersome procedures. Upon cancellation, your digital perks remain active until the conclusion of your current paid billing period.
- Digital Perks Nature: Perks (tier badges, custom profile fonts, expanded backdrop selections, and analytics dashboards) are virtual platform enhancements. They possess zero monetary exchange value outside of GamerLobby and cannot be traded, resold, or redeemed for fiat currency.
- EU / UK Statutory Withdrawal Rights: In accordance with the EU Consumer Rights Directive (Directive 2011/83/EU, Art. 16(m)), by subscribing and requesting immediate provisioning of digital membership perks upon checkout, you expressly acknowledge and agree that your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal ceases once immediate digital service performance commences.
- Refund Policy: Payments are processed via encrypted, PCI-compliant third-party gateways (Stripe). Because digital features unlock instantaneously upon checkout, membership fees are non-refundable except where mandated by applicable consumer protection laws.
08. Prohibited Conduct & Community Safety
You agree never to engage in any of the following activities on GamerLobby:
- Publishing hate speech, harassment, doxxing, defamation, threats, or illegal adult material.
- Impersonating game studios, journalists, staff members, or other players.
- Employing automated scraping spiders, mass data crawlers, or unauthorized automated bots.
- Attempting to bypass security headers, rate limits, access control tokens, or reverse engineer platform code.
- Distributing commercial spam, referral pyramid schemes, pirated ROMs/warez, or malicious URLs.
09. DMCA Copyright Policy & Counter-Notice Procedure
GamerLobby respects intellectual property rights and adheres strictly to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512). If you believe your copyrighted work has been infringed on GamerLobby, please submit a written notification containing:
- A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, including the specific GamerLobby URL.
- Contact details of the complaining party (address, telephone number, and email address).
- A statement that the complaining party has a good-faith belief that use of the material is unauthorized.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that the information in the notification is accurate.
Counter-Notification: If your content was removed due to a DMCA notice and you believe this was an error or misidentification, you may submit a formal Counter-Notification under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g) to our designated agent. Repeat infringers will have their accounts permanently terminated.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
Platform provided "As Is" and "As Available"
To the maximum extent permissible under applicable law, GamerLobby disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uptime reliability. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free or uninterrupted.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event shall GamerLobby, its founders, officers, employees, or contractors be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages (including loss of data, profits, or goodwill) arising out of or related to your access to or use of the platform.
12. Account Suspension & Deletion
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or compromise community safety. Users may delete their account and associated personal data at any time via Account Settings (/settings).
13. Governing Law & Legal Contact
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
